Antonio Galloni

90 points

"The NV (2022) Brut Rosé Grand Cru is a very pretty, nuanced Champagne. Cranberry, dried flowers, mint and crushed autumn leaves all grace this racy, pale-colored Rosé. It's a touch light and ethereal, with all the elements very nicely balanced. The blend is 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir. Dosage is 4 grams per liter. Disgorged: September 2025; multiple disgorgements throughout the year." —Antonio Galloni

Wine Spectator

91 points

"A pure note of macerated cherry is backed by a firm acidity in this lively rosé Champagne, while a subtle, smoky underpinning and hints of pink grapefruit peel and grated ginger ride the creamy bead. Disgorged December 2019. Drink now through 2023."

More about R. H. Coutier

Ambonnay Grand Cru family since 1619. Antoine Coutier (fifth generation) farms nine hectares sustainably and keeps production small. His house style—70% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay (pioneered by his father in 1946)—is rich and racy. Serious, age-worthy Champagne.

Champagne

Champagne boasts some of the world’s greatest luxury brands with Krug, Cristal and, of course, Dom Perignon. But it’s also home to hundreds of small dynamic producers—farmers who grow their own grapes (often organically) and make (often with natural methods) tiny amounts of pure and absolutely delicious wine that reflect the individual personalities of their villages and terroirs. Toast with these wines, for sure. But also treat them like the great wines they are: taste, drink, explore!
