More about Thomas Collardot

Where do new Burgundy domaines come from? Sometimes colossal financing. Sometimes a family taking back its own vines. This is the latter. Pierre Thomas made wine in Puligny-Montrachet until 1992, after which his vines were rented out. His daughter Jacqueline inherited them in 2010, and with her son Matthieu she relaunched the domaine, with a first vintage under the family label in 2014. About 2.5 hectares, premier crus ploughed by horse, long élevage in mostly older barrels. Pure, clean Puligny from a family that just got its inheritance back.
