Mas Peyre’s Maury “La Rage du Soleil” Hors d’ ge NV is a fortified sweet red wine from the Maury appellation in France’s Roussillon region. Made primarily from old-vine Grenache Noir grown on black schist soils, it’s produced in the traditional vin doux naturel style: fermentation is stopped by adding neutral grape spirit, preserving the wine’s natural sweetness. “Hors d’ ge” indicates extended aging—typically at least five years—in old oak barrels, yielding complexity and oxidative depth.
