“Champ des Charmes” is a rare white Fixin, made from Chardonnay grown on limestone soils at the base of the slope. Berthaut-Gerbet farms the site organically and vinifies with native yeasts in mostly used barrels.

The 2023 is textured yet bright, showing the tension and minerality of its terroir. A distinctive white Burgundy from a red wine stronghold.

This is the only white wine Berthaut-Gerbet produces. The soil is alluvial and quite white, located just near les Crais. Whole-cluster pressing, indigenous yeast fermentation that begins in steel tanks (30%) and finishes in barrel (25% new).
