Same wine as the 750ml — Picq's superb 2024 Vaucoupin 1er Cru — in the format that makes any dinner table better. Vaucoupin is one of Chablis' most underrated Premier Crus, and Didier and Pascal Picq bottle a version that's strict, focused, and quietly brilliant. The vines were planted in 1990 and 2005 on Kimmeridgian clay-limestone, fermented with indigenous yeasts, and raised in stainless steel to protect every ounce of terroir. The magnum format is the smart play here: the larger bottle slows the wine's aging arc, giving you more time to enjoy the slow unfurling of saline, oyster-shell minerality. "The 2024 Chablis Vaucoupin 1er Cru, which comes from vines planted in 1990 and 2005, has a strict, focused bouquet that's very minerally with subtle cockle/oyster shells scents.
