This is a single acre parcel of 90+ year old vines adjoining Chambertin Clos de Beze.  These are the oldest vines at Jadot. Burghound 93-95 points "Moderate amounts of wood and menthol surround the nicely spiced aromas of red and dark raspberry that display a floral top note. There is impressive density to the delicious and more elegant medium weight plus flavors that terminate in a very compact, powerful and beautifully long finish. This is already wonderfully complex."

"Moderate amounts of wood and menthol surround the nicely spiced aromas of red and dark raspberry that display a floral top note. There is impressive density to the delicious and more elegant medium weight plus flavors that terminate in a very compact, powerful and beautifully long finish. This is already wonderfully complex, but structurally it’s a complete block today so plenty of patience advised."

"The 2019 Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru, which comes from gnarly old centurion vines, has a harmonious, classically-styled bouquet at first, but after 10 minutes it turns volte-face, and the fruit bursts forward and budges the terroir expression out of the limelight (to my chagrin), flirting with a bit of VA. The palate is medium-bodied, with a pastille-like purity, tart redcurrant and cranberry fruit, notable linearity and impressive mineralité toward the finish. There is real intellect here —a superb Grand Cru, though it just loses some delineation with time. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting." -Neal Martin

"One of the highlights of the range, the 2019 Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru (Domaine Louis Jadot) mingles aromas of sweet red berries with hints of raw cocoa, spices, licorice, loamy soil and truffles. Medium to full-bodied, deep and multidimensional, it's velvety and concentrated, with considerable depth and mid-palate amplitude despite its elegant, seamless profile." -William Kelley

Focus On: Burgundy

Burgundy has long been the world's most famous wine region. But, underneath all the prestige, this region can be hard to get to know.

While Burgundy offers many great trophies from top producers in well-known villages like Vosne Romanee and Puligny Montrachet, it also offers excellent values to anyone willing to explore beyond the famous names. Our collection– one of the largest in the U.S. – has plenty of both!

From the very basics of Burgundy's regions and wines to the specific terroirs of individual single vineyards--
everything you need to know about Bourgogne is just a click away!
