More about Iliana Malihin

Iliana Malihin was just 26 when she set up her winery on the slopes of Mount Vouvala in Rethymno, Crete. She works native Vidiano, Thrapsathiri and Liatiko from steep, hand-worked terraces, farmed organically, including some of Europe's oldest ungrafted vines. In 2022 wildfires damaged more than 80 percent of those ancient plants; many survived thanks to deep roots, at lower yields. Wild, terroir-driven purity and authentic Cretan soul.
