This Aligote comes from Henri Germain, a small, highly regarded Meursault domaine where Jean-Francois Germain farms organically, keeps yields low, hand-harvests, and uses little new oak. Aligote is Burgundy's overlooked second white grape, but in careful hands like these it sings. The 2021 was a cool, classic vintage marked by high acidity and tension, so this leans crisp and energetic, the more racy counterpoint to warmer years. It's the kind of bright, food-loving white that punches well above its station. Serve it well chilled.
