More about Belle Pente

Brian and Jill O'Donnell bought their steep Yamhill-Carlton property in 1992, planted their first vines in 1994 and founded Belle Pente in 1996. The vineyards have been organic since the late 1990s, with biodynamic practices since around 2005, and the whole property is dry farmed, still rare in Oregon. Most wines come from their own vines. Reds ferment with a natural starter and are bottled unfined and unfiltered. These Pinot Noirs favor freshness and balance over extraction: some of the Willamette Valley's most graceful wine.
