The ultra-elegance of Crochet's Sancerre, vintage 2024. Domaine Lucien Crochet is a benchmark estate in Bue, in the southern arc of Sancerre, where Kimmeridgian limestone and silex flint produce some of the appellation's most layered Sauvignon Blanc. This village bottling, drawn from multiple parcels around Bue, sets the house style: restrained, mineral, almost Burgundian in its build, with the flinty grip that Crochet fans recognize on first sip. Where many Sancerres lean loud and grassy, this is precision-engineered, an exercise in cool stone and white citrus. Drink now through the early 2030s; like all good Crochet, it will only get more interesting with a few years in bottle.
