"The 2024 Etna Bianco offers up notes of tropical citrus and mangoes, sweet florals and confectionery spice. It's rounded with a strong mineral core, ripe nectarine and citrusy spice. The long finish leaves exotic inner florals and a pleasing inner sweetness." —Eric Guido

"The Alta Mora 2024 Etna Bianco nicely captures the character of both the volcano and Carricante, with an emphasis on sharpness, freshness and mineral definition. This balanced white is particularly well suited to an informal spread of appetizers, where its salty minerality cuts through richer or fattier foods. Fruit comes from the Contrade Arrigo, Verzella, Pietramarina, Piano dei Daini and other sites on the northern slope, with both alberello and cordon-trained vines. The wine fermented using the estate’s native yeasts, and it aged in stainless steel on the fine lees for 10 months. Production is 40,000 bottles." —Monica Larner

"The Alta Mora 2024 Etna Bianco is a textbook example of today’s Carricante on Etna, starting with its alluring aromas of Spanish broom, white stone fruit, Mediterranean scrub and a whiff of hay. Savory and elegant, the vibrant palate offers ripe white peach, lemon drop and saline alongside bright acidity. Drink or hold a few more years for more complexity." —Kerin O'Keefe
