Nine years is a long time for any tequila to spend in barrel, and this extra añejo is the one to pour for someone who still thinks of tequila only as shots and margaritas. Fuenteseca specialises in seriously long aging, and the 9-year gives you a real taste of what the house does. Fuenteseca calls it richer in flavour, with hints of espresso, vanilla and cocoa. It's bottled at 42.3% ABV, a touch above the usual strength, so it holds up nicely in a snifter. This is a sipper. Treat it the way you'd treat a good aged rum or brandy after dinner.
