Clos de l’Écotard’s Le Clos 2019 is a dry Chenin Blanc from Saumur in the central Loire Valley, produced by winemakers Emmanuel Ogereau and Thomas Berthelot. The estate farms biodynamically on limestone-rich tuffeau soils, and Le Clos comes from a walled vineyard near Brézé—an area famed for its intensely mineral, structured Chenins. Fermented with native yeasts and aged on lees in large oak barrels, it’s a textured yet finely etched expression of Saumur terroir.
