"The 2021 Irpinia Aglianico Cinque Querce is deeply alluring with an almost feral bouquet of ash, embers, animal musk and mentholated herbs. It’s silken in feel and decidedly savory with citrus-tinged blackberry fruit and saline mineral tones. The long and structured finish leaves a pleasant chewiness and hints of blood orange to fade slowly. While labeled as an Irpinia Aglianico, the 2021 performs like a baby Taurasi.
