Murgers des Dents de Chien is Saint-Aubin’s most celebrated 1er Cru, sitting just above Puligny-Montrachet on the same band of limestone-rich slopes. It regularly delivers Grand Cru character without the price tag.

The 2023 vintage is shaping up as a return to freshness and clarity after a few riper years. This bottling is lean, mineral, and citrus-driven, with plenty of nervy acidity and a touch of reduction on the nose—a hallmark of Colin’s precise, low-intervention style.

Fermented and aged in mostly used oak with minimal stirring, it’s all about lift and length, not richness. There’s some texture, yes, but the finish is all chalk and lemon peel.
