Burghound 93 points drink 2020+Sweet spot Outstanding
"Very small crop but one with excellent concentration and outstanding phenolic maturity. Aromas of lightly spiced plum, earth and black raspberry. Dense, serious, overtly powerful flavors possess outstanding concentration-there is so much extract, a velvety texture, explosively long, balanced and harmonious finish. This is strikingly impressive and clearly built to age."

"Unlike a few bottles from 750 ml format where the noses were a bit funky, this was pure and elegant with its aromas of fresh lightly spiced plum, earth and black raspberry that are displaying only hints of secondary fruit. The dense, serious and detailed flavors possess fine concentration that helps to buffer the firm but not really austere supporting tannins on the wonderfully long and balanced finish. This is a classic La Dominode that could be enjoyed now but for my taste, I would hold it for at least another 5 years and 10 would not be too many in large format. In a word, excellent."

"Good full red. Initially subdued, tight nose exploded with aeration to reveal raspberry, dark cherry, celery seed and blood orange. Densely packed, juicy and sappy, conveying a strong impression of energy to the lightly saline flavors of red fruits, spices, game, earth and leather. Finishes very long, with serious but sweet tannins and outstanding lift. Not a fleshpot but beautifully balanced for aging. A great vintage for this cuvee." -Stephen Tanzer

Focus On: Burgundy

Burgundy has long been the world's most famous wine region. But, underneath all the prestige, this region can be hard to get to know.

While Burgundy offers many great trophies from top producers in well-known villages like Vosne Romanee and Puligny Montrachet, it also offers excellent values to anyone willing to explore beyond the famous names. Our collection– one of the largest in the U.S. – has plenty of both!

From the very basics of Burgundy's regions and wines to the specific terroirs of individual single vineyards--
everything you need to know about Bourgogne is just a click away!
