Ile des Vergelesses is widely considered the finest Premier Cru in Pernand-Vergelesses, and Domaine Rapet is the estate that calls this village home. Organically farmed with a lineage going back to 1765, Rapet produces a Pinot Noir here of notable finesse and aromatic lift from the climat's well-exposed limestone slopes. The 2012 was a small, high-quality Burgundy vintage, and at over a decade in bottle this is drinking in a graceful, mature window.
