The everyday Sancerre from one of Bué's most reliable family addresses — and a steal of a way to get into Merlin-Cherrier's world. Thierry has been making wine since 1982, working with his wife Sophie across a patchwork of parcels around Bué, including a piece of the famous Chêne Marchand. Synopsis is the village cuvée, a transparent expression of Bué's caillottes-and-terres-blanches limestone soils: fresh, aromatic, and built around citrus, white flowers, green apple, and that subtle Sancerre minerality. On the palate it's crisp and balanced, with juicy citrus and ripe stone fruit woven through clean Sauvignon Blanc cut. The kind of bottle that disappears fast at the dinner table.
