Mev. Kirsten is South Africa’s oldest Chenin Blanc vineyard, planted in the 1920s in Stellenbosch’s Jonkershoek Valley. Just one hectare of decomposed granite remains, farmed without irrigation. Grapes are whole-bunch pressed and fermented in old foudres, aged 12 months on lees with minimal sulfur.
