Matt Bonanno, the third generation of his family to work in wine, founded BonAnno in 2004 with a simple idea: honest, well-priced Napa Cabernet. The first release was 1,100 cases at $18 a bottle. Twenty vintages on, the family-owned winery makes Napa and Alexander Valley Cabernets, Carneros Chardonnay and more, with a focus on freshness, balance and value and a light hand in the cellar. The name means 'good year' in Italian, and it's delivered without the cult pricing.
