Discover Sonoma's Moon Mountain District AVA, 5/13/26

In a first-ever AVA-specific grand tasting on our mezzanine, we are welcoming the growers of California's Moon Mountain District AVA for a walk-around style tasting of selected wines from eight different growers. Between 5:30 and 7:30pm on May 13, drop in and meet the winemakers themselves as you taste wines from:

This is an excellent opportunity to get to know the Moon Mountain District across a range of styles and wines, all available for purchase in New York on a presale basis.

About the Moon Mountain District AVA:
The Moon Mountain District represents over 130 years of grapegrowing and winemaking in an area legendary for its rugged, steep terrain. Although it is among Sonoma County’s newer formal viticultural designations, having received recognition in 2013, the Moon Mountain District contains some of the county’s oldest and most prestigious vineyards, dating to 1858.

One of the first AVAs in Northern California to practice organic viticulture, today nearly 50% of the planted acres are certified organic. Cabernet Sauvignon is the most widely planted red variety, and Chardonnay is the predominant white variety, yet there is a lovely array of other grapes cultivated, including Zinfandel, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Malbec, Merlot and Pinot Noir.
