Planted in 2000 in the cooler reaches of Yakima Valley, Two Blondes is one of Andrew Will’s hallmark single-vineyard sites—elevated, wind-exposed, and perfectly suited for structured Bordeaux varieties. The 2018 blend, led by Merlot and Cabernet Franc, is all about proportion: ripe but not rich, firm but not heavy.

What sets it apart is its calm confidence. There’s dark fruit, yes, but also graphite, tobacco leaf, and quiet spice. The tannins are fine and grippy, the acidity lifted, and the overall impression is one of slow-release depth rather than front-loaded intensity. Aged in mostly neutral oak, the fruit and site stay front and center.

If you’re looking for Washington red that favors detail over density, Two Blondes 2018 is a study in understatement.

"The 2018 Red Wine Two Blondes is intense, blasting up with a seductive Merlot-centric bouquet of wild blueberries, lavender and sweet smoke before nuances of wet stone and baking spice emerge in the glass. This is a total darling, silky-smooth and elegant, with generous ripe red and blue fruits contrasted by saline-tinged acidity and the slightest tug of sour citrus. It finishes incredibly long and like a basket full of wild berries, staining the palate while also leaving it with an unbelievably fresh impression. Medium to full-bodied, the palate displays a balanced structure as dusty fruit flavors unpack across the mid-palate, ending with a long, winding finish leaving persistent flavors of black cherry skin in the mouth. What Bowler Wine has to say about this wine:

60% Merlot, 16% Cabernet Franc, 16% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Malbec. At 1150 feet in elevation, Two Blondes is the coolest site of the four vineyards Andrew Will works with and harvest is generally later. Native yeast fermentation in stainless steel, matured for 18 months in French oak (25% new). Bottled unfined/unfiltered.
