This village Fixin is drawn from multiple parcels across the appellation, all farmed organically by Amélie Berthaut. Vinification includes partial whole-cluster fermentation and aging in mostly used oak barrels.

The 2023 is firm and savory, with the earthy structure typical of the village. A clear, expressive snapshot of Fixin from one of its most exciting young talents.

Professional Reviews

Burghound

BH 91
"This is also fresh and bright though notably more deeply pitched with its aromas of earth, dark berries and a hint of the sauvage. The suave but vibrant medium weight flavors possess more volume and equally evident minerality while displaying solid length on the youthfully austere and mildly rustic finish that is notably more structured." -Allen Meadows

Antonio Galloni

AG 91
"The 2023 Fixin Village, taken from large foudre, has a come-hither nose with pure Morello cherries and wild strawberry scents, plus a touch of briar in the background. The palate offers sucrosity on the entry, with candied orange peel infusing the red fruit and a touch of white pepper toward the finish. Generous and playful, this is a Fixin to enjoy after a year in bottle." -Neal Martin

Robert Parker

RP 88
"Offering up notes of dark berries, orange zest and smoked meats, the 2023 Fixin Village is medium-bodied, supple and lively, with chalky tannins that lend gentle grip to the finish." -William Kelley
