Cantine Guastaferro is a hidden gem in Campania, crafting deep, soulful wines from old-vine Aglianico. Memini comes from the heart of Irpinia, where volcanic soils and high-altitude vineyards lend both intensity and freshness to the wine. The 2019 vintage, marked by balance and concentration, showcases the structured elegance that makes Aglianico one of Italy’s greatest red grapes.

Dark cherry, blackberry, and plum take center stage, backed by notes of leather, tobacco, and smoky earth. The tannins are firm but refined, softened by extended aging, while bright acidity keeps everything lifted. Compared to the brawnier Aglianico del Vulture, Memini leans more toward finesse, offering a balance of power and elegance that draws comparisons to Barolo.
