From deep gravel soils in the southern part of Graves, Château de Fieuzal’s 2016 Rouge shows why this vintage is so revered: structure meets ripeness, freshness meets depth. A blend dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot and a splash of Petit Verdot, the wine is both finely tuned and full of quiet energy—one of the estate’s most balanced and age-worthy releases in recent memory.

Blackcurrant, plum, and black cherry form the fruit core, layered with graphite, cedar, and a gentle smokiness that speaks to its terroir. The palate is structured but not rigid, with refined tannins and a clean, mineral-laced finish. It's drinking well now with a decant, but will reward another 5–10 years in the cellar. Pair with grilled lamb, duck breast, or anything earthy and slow-cooked. A Graves classic with precision and polish.
