Chateau Prieure de Beyzac is a family operation in the Haut-Medoc run by Nadine and Eric Charlassier, the kind of small, conscientious estate that quietly overdelivers vintage after vintage. They farm with environmental certifications and make structured, terroir-driven reds from a classic left-bank blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. This is from the excellent 2018 vintage, a warm year that gave ripe, perfumed fruit with real precision. Expect red cherry and wild strawberry, fine-grained tannins, and a savory, gravelly Medoc finish. It's drinking beautifully now but has the structure to reward a few years in the cellar. Smart, classic Bordeaux without the markup.
