Camille Thiriet and Matt Chittick launched their domaine in 2016 and have become one of Burgundy's must-watch young names, farming organically in the southern Cote de Nuits with horses working some of their oldest vines. 'La Montagne' is one of their named Cote de Nuits-Villages parcels, a hillside site on hard limestone that gives structured, characterful Pinot Noir. Made with the restraint that defines the domaine, light extraction and minimal new oak, it shows savory dark red fruit, real mineral drive, and firm, fine tannins with the freshness to age.
