Pinot Noir grows in more places than Burgundy, and the Jura is one of the best-kept secrets. This is Fabrice Dodane's benchmark Arbois Pinot — bright, high-toned and unmistakably alpine, fermented with wild yeasts and raised in steel so nothing gets in the way of the fruit. Organic and biodynamic farming on chalky limestone, clay and marl gives it a coiled, mineral energy that Burgundy fans will recognize and Jura fans will love. Chill it down a few degrees and it practically hums.
