What is this wine?
Domaine Huet is the historic benchmark of Vouvray in the Loire Valley, founded in 1928 and famed for biodynamic farming since the 1980s. The estate produces Chenin Blanc across three crus: Le Haut-Lieu, Le Mont, and Clos du Bourg. Le Haut-Lieu is the original vineyard, a 9-hectare parcel of deep clay over limestone, producing wines that are approachable young yet capable of long aging. The Sec is their dry expression, showcasing Chenin’s clarity and terroir.

Why get this wine?
Huet is considered the reference point for Chenin Blanc worldwide. The 2024 vintage captures the crystalline purity of Chenin from a master producer, balancing orchard fruit, minerality, and bright acidity. If you want to understand why Vouvray is celebrated for both its drinkability and cellar potential, this bottle is the perfect entry point.

What does this wine taste like?
Lively and precise with green apple, pear, and citrus layered over chalky minerality and subtle floral tones. Dry, medium-bodied, and vibrant, with a long, mouthwatering finish.

When should you drink this wine?
Delicious now with shellfish, goat cheese, or roast poultry, but it will evolve beautifully for 10–15 years, gaining depth and honeyed complexity with age.

Wine Spectator

91 points

"A fresh, salty, floral and expressive version, with a burst of lemony freshness behind its crunchy apple, nectarine and meadow blossom notes. Salty, tangy and savory, with subtle tones of warm spices, but this is mostly about freshness and savory purity."

Loire Valley Wines

The Loire Valley is France’s greatest source of value for anyone looking for elegant, terroir-driven wines. Our collection celebrates the region’s great diversity, with the mineral-driven whites of Muscadet and Sancerre, the beautiful Chenin Blancs and Cabernet Francs from villages like Vouvray and Chinon, and natural wines from everywhere in the region. Sometimes wonderfully fresh and gulpable, sometimes serious and age-worthy, the prices are always very reasonable.
