Yves Leccia is one of Corsica's most respected vignerons, the third-generation Patrimonio producer Kermit Lynch once called the "Rolls-Royce of Corsican wine." His entry-level white from the Ile de Beaute IGP (the island's poetic French nickname, "Isle of Beauty") is a blend of Vermentino and the nearly extinct Biancu Gentile, an indigenous grape Yves was among the first to replant. The 2025 is everything you want from a Corsican white: sun-ripened citrus and white peach, sea-mist salinity, a quiet herbal lift from the surrounding maquis, and a finish that turns taut and saline mid-palate. Lip-smacking, thirst-quenching, and serious all at once. The Mediterranean in a glass, no ceremony required.
