Domaine Valma is a rising star in Beaujolais, and their Fleurie “Les Rangs Tard” 2022 is a beautiful showcase of what makes the Fleurie cru so captivating: high-elevation granite soils, old vines, and Gamay that speaks with both purity and perfume.

The wine opens with aromas of violet, wild strawberry, rose petal, and wet stone, and follows with a palate that’s light on its feet but textured, thanks to whole-cluster fermentation and gentle extraction. There’s a savory undertone and mineral grip that lifts it beyond the typical fruit-forward Fleurie into something more Burgundy-adjacent in shape and structure.
