Envinate are among the most beloved natural-wine producers on the planet, four wine-school friends devoted to fully alive, terroir-driven wines. Taganan comes from the wild, steep terraces of Tenerife's northern coast, where ancient ungrafted vines of obscure Canary grapes cling to volcanic slopes above the Atlantic. The Blanco is a field blend, fermented with whole clusters and wild yeast: textured, saline, and electric, with citrus, herbs, and a deep volcanic, sea-spray minerality. This is white wine as adventure, a taste of one of the most dramatic vineyard sites in Europe. Wine, first and foremost, is about pleasure.

"The 2024 Táganan Blanco has a very serious and stony nose and a dry, chalky and mineral palate. This is always saline—the vineyard is very close to the sea, and the wine gets the influence from there. It can remind you of the sapid character of some wines from Jerez. It has the nuances of the field blend, in a subtle and elegant way. This matured in 350- and 600-liter barrels. It's clean and precise, with 12% alcohol, a pH of 3.06 and 7.05 grams of acidity. 5,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in July 2025." —Luis Gutiérrez

More about Envinate

Just a couple of years ago the wines of Envinate were very, very off the radar. Like everything in the world of delicious, naturally made wines, that has changed! Now we eagerly anticipate the next release, get just a case or less of each cuvée, and then watch them disappear in the blink of an eye.

For those unfamiliar, the group of four friends behind the project have nailed a locals' perspective on growing areas that the world is just coming to appreciate. Between Ribeira Sacra and the Canary Islands, they bottle clear expressions of the vineyards with which they work. Having started Envinate as a consultancy while in enology school, the friends set out to enrich the communities within these historically neglected areas. By splitting up and living in each of these regions, they have been able to foster relationships with older generations of growers and farmers allowing them to identify the best vineyard sites with a collective understanding beyond their experience.

With a strong technical education, The Four craft wines of precision and clarity. Never manipulated, never doctored, and a lack of chemicals in the vineyard, these wines are liquid art, a purists expression of terrior. They honor not only the region from which they come, but also the local stewards who have cared for these vineyards, often for generations.
