Bobal is the leading grape in the picturesque, inland wine region of Manchuela, but is little-known outside its limits. In the right hands, however, it can achieve true greatness, and at wallet-friendly prices. This is organically-farmed at altitude, yielding a wine with gentle structure, cool minerality, and ample, elegant fruit. It's dark-fruited with notes of blackberry, boysenberry, warm spices, and Mediterranean sunshine. Pair with anything fresh off the grill.
