Forthave Spirits is known for producing hand-crafted, small-batch aperitifs that highlight a deep understanding of botanical blending. Their Red Aperitif is no exception—created with a careful mix of herbs, spices, and fruit, it balances vibrant flavors with a complex, slightly bitter finish.

Rich in notes of orange peel, cinnamon, and aromatic herbs, it carries a touch of sweetness that is perfectly counterbalanced by a bitter edge. Aged in oak barrels, it gains depth and smoothness, giving it a fuller body that works equally well on its own or in cocktails like a Negroni or Spritz.

Serve chilled over ice with a citrus twist or incorporate it into your favorite cocktails. For those who love herbal, bold aperitifs with a story, Forthave Spirits Red Aperitif is a creative and refined option.

More about Forthave Spirits

Forthave Spirits, named for a fifteenth-century botanist and his plague-combating elixir, started in Brooklyn in 2016 when painter Aaron Fox and writer Daniel de la Nuez decided to explore how their favorite botanical liqueurs were made. Using 200+ botanicals and organic Brazilian cane spirit, they've built a library of amaro, aperitivi, and digestifs that taste genuine and complex.

Tasting Notes & Food Pairings

Perfect Pairings

Serve chilled over ice with a citrus twist and a splash of soda, or build it into a Negroni, Americano or Spritz. Snacks: olives, salted nuts, potato chips, prosciutto, or a plate of anchovy toast. The bitter edge also stands up to fried food and salty cheese.

Tasting Profile

Orange peel, cinnamon and aromatic herbs on the nose. The palate is rich and fuller-bodied than most aperitifs, with a touch of sweetness quickly checked by a firm bitter edge. Time in oak barrels adds depth and smoothness. The finish is long, bittersweet and citrus-driven.
