Robert Parker

92 points

"This wine has drunk exceptionally well since its youth, and it continues to offer a dark ruby/purple/garnet color with no lightening at the edge. The flamboyant nose of jammy black fruits, tobacco, smoky oak, and coffee is intense and enjoyable. Fat, opulently-textured, super-concentrated, and lusty, this large-scaled, rich, multi-dimensional Cabernet Sauvignon is fully mature, but it displays no signs of losing its fruit. The wine possesses marvelous purity and exceptional length, leading me to believe it should continue to drink well for 7-8 more years.' (Aug. 1996) Also received 92 points from the Wine Spectator...'Rich, complex, deep and concentrated, with a broad array of spicy currant, coffee, herb, tea and black cherry flavors. The texture is broad and supple and the tannins, while firm, are well integrated, leading to a long, satisfying aftertaste."
