More about Hayman's

Hayman's is gin from one of London's oldest gin-making families, and its London Dry is about as classic as the style gets.

The story begins in 1863, when James Burrough, a pharmacist, set up a gin business on Cale Street in Chelsea. When the family sold the company in 1987, his great-grandson Christopher Hayman bought back part of it. Today he and his children, James and Miranda, the fifth generation, run the business from a distillery in Balham, in south-west London.

The London Dry uses a family recipe and a two-day process: ten botanicals, led by juniper, coriander and citrus peel, steep in English wheat spirit for a full day and are distilled the next. Bottled at 47% for the US market (41.2% in the UK), it is juniper-forward, bright and properly dry. Use it for a gin and tonic or a martini.
