Henri Dufreres is a small Burgundy label producing an honest, affordable Bourgogne Blanc from Chardonnay. There isn't much published about the project, so we'll keep it straight: this is everyday white Burgundy, fermented to preserve freshness with only a light touch of oak, meant for easy weeknight drinking rather than the cellar. The 2023 vintage was sunny and generous across Burgundy, which gives the wine ripe fruit alongside its acidity. Serve it well chilled as a go-to aperitif or alongside lighter fare. Simple, satisfying, no fuss.
