"The 2022 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Vigna Casanova dell'Aia is redolent of dried herbs, menthol, sage, tobacco, white pepper, mint and scorched earth. Linear in its contours and yet deep, the Casanova dell'Aia is a super-expressive wine from Radda. In this tasting it is a standout. This site clearly handled the rigors of the growing season well. Bright saline overtones extend the palate-staining, explosive finish.
