En Croisette is a Gevrey-Chambertin lieu-dit on the village's gravelly lower slopes, and in Jerome Galeyrand's hands it becomes a serious, soulful bottle. A self-taught grower who trained with Alain Burguet, Galeyrand farms organically and biodynamically and vinifies with native yeasts and almost no sulfur. This old-vine cuvee comes from 2013, a cooler and more classically-built vintage that rewards patience, and it has now had that patience: more than a decade in bottle. It's drinking well today and will hold comfortably for several more years.
