From João Pato (aka Luis Pato’s next-gen alter ego), Nerd Duck is a natural-leaning red that plays by its own rules. Typically a blend of indigenous grapes like Baga and Touriga Nacional, it’s sourced from Atlantic-influenced vineyards in Bairrada and made with a light touch: native yeast, minimal sulfur, no fining or filtration.

Despite the playful packaging, this is smart winemaking—fresh red berries, crushed herbs, and a gentle savory edge that keeps it from going full fruit bomb. It’s light-bodied and zippy, with fine tannins and just enough funk to keep natural wine fans happy, but clean enough to pour for a broader crowd. Serve it with a chill and whatever's coming off the grill.
