Keller is the Rheinhessen's greatest address and one of the most beloved estates in all of Germany, and this Gold Capsule bottling is village-level dry Riesling from Westhofen, the village at the heart of the estate. Klaus Peter Keller and his wife Julia took over the family estate in 2001 (the Kellers have farmed in Floersheim since 1789), and the reputation they've built is absolute: fully seventy percent of the vineyard is classified Grosses Gewachs. And 2020 in Germany delivered concentration that somehow kept its finesse and delicacy, which is exactly the register Keller's Rieslings live in. Wines from this address are famously hard to get.

Tasting Profile

Dry and precise, with citrus, white peach and green apple aromas over a distinctly stony, chalky core. Medium-bodied but concentrated, with bright, cutting acidity and a long, saline, mineral finish.
