The powerful sibling to La Ca'Nova's Montefico. Montestefano is one of Barbaresco's most celebrated crus—first single-vineyard Barbaresco (1961) came from here. Where Montefico shows elegance, Montestefano delivers structure and depth. The Rocca brothers apply the same traditional methods: native fermentation, submerged cap, large neutral oak. This is Barbaresco for cellaring—dense tannins that need time to unwind but promise decades of development. Decant generously if drinking young.

More about La Ca'Nova

La Ca'Nova sits quietly in Barbaresco, making spectacular, traditional Nebbiolo from two of the appellation's top crus. Under the radar and at prices that seem like a gift, these wines from fermentation with wild yeast in steel tanks have red fruit, roses, tar—everything Barbaresco should be.
