The domaine's signature Champagne, and effectively a survey of one village: 85% Pinot Noir and 15% Chardonnay, mirroring exactly how the domaine's own Écueil vineyards are planted, drawn from parcels running from sand over deep chalk up top to Sparnacian clay and shallow chalk at the foot of the slopes. Écueil is a Premier Cru of the Petite Montagne de Reims that most people first hear about through Savart, its more famous resident grower, and Lacourte-Godbillon has become the other reason to know it since Géraldine Lacourte and Richard Desvignes stopped selling their crop to the local co-op and began bottling everything themselves in 2013. The 2021 base leans unusually hard on reserve wine — 70% from 2020 and 2019 — which is what holds this cuvée steady from release to release; each plot is pressed and vinified separately, the juice moved by gravity rather than pumped, and the wine rests at least two years on lees before a 3 g/l dosage. Farming is Demeter-certified biodynamic, with ambient yeasts and minimal sulfur throughout. The Chardonnay runs a line of pure chalk through the Pinot's flesh — open it with dinner rather than before it.

"Disgorged in June 2024 with a dosage of three grams per liter, the NV Premier Cru Terroirs d'Ecueil is composed predominantly of the 2021 vintage, complemented by 30% reserve wines from 2020 and 2019. Approximately 30% of the blend is vinified in oak, with the remainder matured in stainless steel. The wine reveals a delicate bouquet of green apple, lemon zest and pear. On the palate, it is medium-bodied with a youthful core of fruit, yet it expresses a pronounced, high-acid profile—almost austere in character—that may leave the taster yearning for greater harmony." —Kristaps Karklins
