Les Granges Paquenesses is a tiny, thoughtful domaine in the heart of the Jura, and La Pierre is their Savagnin at its most elemental. Sourced from limestone soils and raised sous voile (under flor) for just under two years, the 2021 vintage offers that signature Jura character—lifted, nutty, and vibrating with tension—while still feeling clean and precise.

Expect layers of lemon peel, green almond, crushed oyster shell, and chamomile, with a dry, grippy palate that hums with acidity and saline minerality. There’s a gentle oxidative tone, but it’s well integrated—more whisper than shout. Pair it with Comté (of course), smoked fish, or creamy mushroom dishes. This is not your everyday white—it’s angular, soulful, and unapologetically Jura.
