The single-vineyard counterpart to Lorenzo Accomasso's standard Riserva — this Vigneto Rocchette 2007 is pure fruit from the Rocchette sub-parcel within Rocche dell'Annunziata, bottled separately rather than blended. Lorenzo, who passed in August 2024 and farmed these vines with his sister Elena until her death in 2016, was one of Barolo's last true holdouts — botti-aged Nebbiolo, traditional everything, releases on his own quiet schedule. Rocchette gives the most aromatic side of Rocche dell'Annunziata: lifted florals, finely textured tannin, the kind of haunting La Morra perfume that's hard to find at any price. 2007 was a warm vintage, and eighteen years on this is drinking beautifully — still structured but with the tertiary complexity starting to settle in. A collector's Accomasso.
