"The 2023 Pinot Blanc Alte Reben comes from two sites, Ried Seeberg and Steinweingarten, with vines between 60 and 90 years old. The grapes were destemmed, crushed, had overnight skin contact and were pressed the following day. Fermentation began in stainless steel and finished in two-thirds large barrel and one-third amphora. The shy nose suggests suppleness with creamy, lemony brightness and a touch of subtle spice. The palate is smooth, richer and rounder, resting on yeasty smoothness that feels airy and pillowy. Lemony freshness frames everything. Cooling, soothing, serene, long and wonderful." —Anne Krebiehl MW
