Perched high in the hills of Radda, Castello di Volpaia is known for producing some of Chianti Classico’s most elegant and terroir-driven wines. Their Riserva, sourced from organically farmed vineyards at high elevations, represents a step up in depth and aging potential. The 2020 vintage, shaped by a warm but balanced growing season, delivers a wine with richness, freshness, and finely woven tannins.

Ripe black cherry, plum, and wild herbs lead, layered with tobacco, cedar, and a hint of leather. The palate is polished yet powerful, with vibrant acidity keeping everything in perfect harmony. While already expressive, this Riserva will continue to evolve beautifully over the next decade. A natural pairing for bistecca alla fiorentina, aged Pecorino, or a long, slow-cooked ragù, this is a classic expression of Chianti Classico at its finest.
