Wednesday, October 11: Chile Masterclass with Pedro Parra
Acclaimed Chilean winemaker Pedro Parra will join us on our mezzanine Wednesday, October 11 at 6pm to discuss his remarkable Itata wines and his amazing wine background. Parra has a truly global perspective, educated in France and honed while working with top producers in both hemispheres before he brought his considerable talent back home. This is your chance to discover the "New Chile": terroir-driven, soulful and diverse.

Seating is very limited. The cost of this seminar is $30 and a $20 credit at the store will be extended to each guest for a future purchase. We hope you can join us Wednesday, October 11 at 6pm on our mezzanine for this very special event.

Thursday, October 12: Pepe Raventos Masterclass
Catalunya's sparkling wine industry, best known for Cava, has undergone a whirlwind of development and drama in the last two decades. There is no better master of the craft to help us navigate this fascinating sparkling wine region than Pepe Raventós, the 21st-generation proprietor of Raventós i Blanc. In this masterclass, Pepe will guide us to a deeper understanding of his benchmark sparkling wines and his home region.

In 2012, Pepe famously decided to leave the Cava appellation that his forebears had been instrumental in founding, creating in the process the hyper-specific Conca del Riu Anoia designation for his wines. Most recently, he’s been recuperating the old, high-altitude, forest-encircled vineyards of Can Sumoi, a 17th-century mountaintop property from which he makes minimal-additive wines under their own label.

Seating is very limited. The cost of this seminar is $30 and a $20 credit at the store will be extended to each guest for a future purchase. We hope you can join us Thursday, October 12 on our mezzanine for this very special event.

Tuesday, October 17: Flatiron Wine School - White Burgundy with John Beaver Truax (SOLD OUT)

Thursday, October 18: Bedrock Masterclass with Chris Cottrell
Chris Cottrell of Bedrock Wines will join us on Wednesday, October 18 on our mezzanine for this intimate seminar on California's old vines, old souls and bright future. A charismatic presenter with a fascinating background, Cottrell is extremely knowledgeable about old-vine vineyards and the history of California wine. This masterclass will showcase the Bedrock Heritage wines and delve into the importance of old-vine sites and their critical importance in California.

Seating is very limited. The cost of this seminar is $30 and a $20 credit at the store will be extended to each guest for a future purchase. We hope you can join us Wednesday, October 18 on our mezzanine for this very special event. Get tickets now.

Tuesday, October 24: Flatiron Wine School - Red Burgundy with John Beaver Truax (SOLD OUT)

Thursday, October 26: Chateau Musar Masterclass with Marc Hochar

Marc Hochar of the legendary Chateau Musar will visit Flatiron Wine School on Thursday, October 26 at 6pm on our mezzanine. These beloved wines from Lebanon's Bekaa Valley have enchanted wine lovers for generations. Founded by a 20-year-old Gaston Hochar in 1930, Chateau Musar was the inspired culmination of both Lebanon’s 6,000-year winemaking tradition and Hochar's travels in Bordeaux.

Marc, Gaston's son, will join us to examine the amazing Musar range and, naturally, its capacity to age, in honor of this estate's world-renowned affinity for beautifully matured bottles. This masterclass is not to be missed.

Seating is very limited. The cost of this seminar is $40 and a $20 credit at the store will be extended to each guest for a future purchase. We hope you can join us Thursday, October 26 at 6pm on our mezzanine for this very special event. Get tickets now.

Sunday, October 22: Revolution Wines Walk-Around Tasting with Szepsy, Barton and More

We couldn't believe our luck when we found out Damien Barton (of Chateau Leoville Barton and Langoa Barton) and Istvan Szepsy Jr (of benchmark Tokaji producer Szepsy) would be in town on the same day and wanted to pour some wine. We're even luckier that their supplier, our friends at R/evolution Wine Merchants, was willing to pour a couple of extra gems from the book too—including a little Riesling producer by the name of Egon Müller.

Now you can be lucky, too: Join us this Sunday, October 22 on our mezzanine from 2:30 to 4:30pm for a chance to taste these wines and meet Damien and Istvan. Your $30 ticket will be converted to a $20 gift card that can be used on any future purchase.
