Natural Beaujolais from a founding member of the legendary "Gang of Four" alongside Marcel Lapierre, Jean-Paul Thévenet, and Jean Foillard. Guy Breton took over his family's domaine in 1986, transitioning from selling grapes to crafting benchmark natural wines. From 80-year-old Gamay vines above Villié-Morgon. Whole-cluster fermented with indigenous yeasts, semi-carbonic maceration, 10 months in used oak. No synthetic chemicals, no chaptalization, minimal SO2, no filtration. The 2024 vintage offers vibrant fruit and impressive freshness despite challenging rainfall.

More about Guy Breton

Guy Breton is famously one of the Gang of Four, the Villié-Morgon rebels, with Marcel Lapierre, Jean Foillard and Jean-Paul Thévenet, who followed Jules Chauvet back to natural winemaking at a time when Beaujolais was rife with industrial methods. Kermit Lynch, who gave them the nickname, helped bring their wines to America. Breton took over his grandfather's vines in 1986 and farms just over four hectares organically, mostly in Morgon. Native yeasts, minimal sulfur and a hands-off approach make sound, classic, gorgeously pure wines.
