What is this wine?
Montevertine’s Le Pergole Torte 1998 (Magnum) is a pure Sangiovese from Radda in Chianti, one of Tuscany’s most revered estates. Founded by Sergio Manetti, Montevertine left the Chianti Classico DOCG in the 1980s to focus solely on uncompromising, traditional Sangiovese. Crafted by the legendary winemaker Giulio Gambelli, the 1998 vintage was fermented in concrete tanks and aged in large Slavonian oak casks and French barriques. The result is a wine of remarkable elegance, purity, and longevity, expressing the limestone and galestro soils of Radda with unmatched finesse.
Why get this wine?

In magnum, it has evolved beautifully: supple yet vibrant, offering tertiary depth while retaining freshness. A rare collector’s gem and a testament to traditional Tuscan craftsmanship.
